JOINT COVERS & COMPRESSION PROFILES
For large areas, expansion joints are essential to relieve pressure and reduce cracking or damage caused over time by movement or shrinkage.
These joints act as a free space in the floor, wall and ceiling, which can move freely to absorb movement and prevent the material from cracking.
Expansion joints are essential for floors, walls, ceilings and roofs in parking lots, shopping centers, hospitals, etc. These solutions improve the longevity of structures by reducing damage caused by structural settlement, movement generated by the external environment and earthquakes.
Expansion joints are closed with an expansion joint cover plate. Seismic joint covers must be suitable for the joint opening, expected movement, application (floor, wall, ceiling) and expected floor traffic.
Building expansion joint covers are therefore essential in large structures.
