This fire barrier blanket is CE-marked (European Technical Assessment), and a Declaration of Performance is available on request. Other products in our firestop range also have these documents.

Official firestop classifications

Firestop blanket provide thermal insulation against building fires for up to 4 hours without failure.

• EI 180 for horizontal application,
• EI 240 for vertical application.

What is the difference between reaction to fire and resistance to fire?

Reaction to fire: Product’s tendency to produce smoke, flames or burning droplets. It is defined by the Euroclass system classification.

Fire resistance: Duration for which a fire protection system helps to limit fire spread.

Installation of the building fire protection is quick and easy, with no risk to health or the environment.

• Check the joint opening and determine the corresponding model from the data sheet.
• If necessary, remove any material left in the expansion joint.
• Apply on both sides of the joint with VEDACOLLE© adhesive, using a brush and/or spatula.
• Before the adhesive dries, press the firestop solution into the joint.
• The fire barrier blanket is now in place. If there is a risk of exposure to water and/or weather, the system must be protected with a VED’EPDM© membrane.
• An installation instruction method and installation video are available on request to ensure perfect fireproof thermal insulation. Please do not hesitate to contact our team.

Application in all types of building

VEDAFEU N20© firestop blanket have been tested and approved for horizontal or vertical application in expansion joints of between 60 and 300 mm.

They provide fire protection for buildings (hospitals, industrial buildings, offices, hotels, shopping centers, parking lots, schools, railway stations, airports, stadiums, etc.).
