CHARACTERISTICS :
An economical aluminium expansion joint
The simple design of this seismic expansion joint for interior walls and ceilings enables fast installation in renovation projects. It consists of fixing clips on one side of the expansion joint using 14 stainless steel screws 4.5×50 mm and nylon plugs 8×40 mm per 3 ml length, and a cover plate which is installed by pressing into the clips. Please note that it will be impossible to separate the cover plate from the clips without damaging the parts once the elements are engaged.
Seismic vertical expansion joint for aesthetic appeal
The design of the plate makes the fasteners completely invisible for a perfect finish. The earthquake expansion joint can also be powder-coated to blend in perfectly with the building. The corner model (JDV 4.03 A) is available to ensure continuity with the flat model. The JDV 4.03 aluminium expansion joint is suitable for interior applications, and can be combined with our floor joint covers such as CJE-PF, or JDH 6.17. Treatment of seismic expansion joints
Fixed on one side only, the aluminum cover plate is free to perform wide expansion, contraction and shearing movements. This seismic vertical expansion joint can handle initial openings of between 50 and 100 mm, and movements of up to +50 mm and -90 mm. It is compatible with VEDAFEU© fire-stop solutions such as VEDAFEUN20© or VEDAFEUSV©. A waterproof membrane such as VED’EPDM© can also be added to the aluminium expansion joint.
Vertical expansion joint for interior applications
The JDV 4.03 seismic vertical expansion joint is suitable for all types of application: expansion joints in concrete, stone and tiled walls. It is suitable for all types of buildings: stadiums, shopping centers, universities, hospitals, etc.
For exterior applications, we recommend our JDV 4.02 expansion joint. This is also a vertical expansion joint that can be fastened on 2 sides with concrete screws.
